Cumbuco has incredible kiting conditions. Long sandy beaches and amazing lagoons!

Cauipe Lagoon (Cumbuco): around 6 km from the village center the beach is great for downwinders. Along the way you’ll find shorebreaks and sandbanks with fun waves. Cumbuco is also the perfect starting point for longer downwinds.

There’s a wave spot just a couple of km from Cumbuco called "Pico das Almas".

Wave spot "Pecem" is 15 km downwind where there can be clean, peeling waves.

Tip: Go to one of the many amazing pizza places, truly tastes like in Italy or even better!
Tip: There are a couple of cheap traditional restaurants, so you can get a basic lunch at the spot.

Macapa only has a few pousadas (but is constantly evolving) which is why we usually prefer to stay in Barra Grande – Barra Grande with the high tide is super choppy (so we would go to Macapà with the high tide) – Macapa lagoon is tide-dependent (but you can always kite in the ocean).
